Have you ever been thirsty? I know that for me, when I get thirsty....nothing satisfies me quite like water. But during those times when I am feeling "spiritually thirsty", nothing satisfies me like Jesus! In the Gospel of John, Chapter 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at her father's well and asks her for a drink of water because He was thirsty. What she gave Him was quite simply.....water to quench His physical thirst. But what He gave to the Samaritan woman, as described in verse 14, was "living water" that would quench her thirst forever; not literally, but figuratively. This is because the "living water" that Jesus gives us is a well of water springing up into us eternal life. WOW! Now, I can really throw back A LOT of water when I'm thirsty. But Jesus can give us "living water" that will quench our spiritual thirst forever, and we will receive eternal life through it, and we'll never need to add anything else. Now that's some water worth finding out more about. We don't need to add good works to it, or church memership to it, or baptism to it, or anthing else - the eternal life we will receive through the living water Jesus gives is all we will EVER need to receive eternal life. If you've never experienced that "living water that will be a well springing up into everlasting life", I encourage you to read John Chapter 4. If you still have questions about how to receive this water of everlasting life, please feel free to contact any of our Design Team Members through their blogs, or email us. We want to share with EVERYONE this water that changes lives.
We don't really have a "theme" this week. We just encourage you to share ANYTHING the Lord lays on your heart to create. We LOVE seeing all the art you create, and we encourage you to share it all with us! We love visiting your blogs and seeing the gifts He has blessed each of you with; and we are SO grateful when you share your talents with us. We really are here for you!
As always, feel free to save this week's free word art to your computer. You are welcome to copy this scripture to your computer and use it in your entry, but you are never required to do so. As long as you use an encouraging or uplifting sentiment on your project, that is fine. We just want God's Word to be a blessing to you. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".
