July Guest Designer, Jackie Wallace

Jackie Wallace
Hello!   My name is Jackie Wallace, and I am blessed to be a SAHM to five beautiful children and wife to a most loving man.  I am passionate about my love for Jesus, as well as all kinds of paper crafting and mixed media.  I teach a scrapbooking and mixed media class at our local homeschooling co-op, and I love every minute of it!  I love to learn new techniques, and then pass that knowledge on to others.

I am so thrilled and blessed to be a Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday for the Month of July.  Thank you, Karen, and all the wonderful Design Team Members for having me.  I hope you will pop by my blog, Schoolin' And Scrappin', to say hello.

Challenge #86 - Anything Goes

Here we are at another Wednesday, and another AWESOME challenge.  This week, we are blessed to have Cheery Lynn Designs as our sponsor.  They are offering one lucky winner a gorgeous die-cut.   We are SO BLESSED to have such wonderful sponsors, and we know that this is a prize well worth playing for.  We look forward to seeing the art you create this week.

This week's scripture file comes from Ephesians Chapter 2, and verse 10.  It tells us that "we are His workmanship".  Have you ever felt "down on yourself"?  Or let someone else say and do things that cause you to believe that you are not of great value?  Well, the Bible tells us that we are the workmanship (the creation) of God Almighty.  The awesome God of the universe, Who created ALL things, does NOT make anything less than wonderful.  Because it is HE Who has created us, we are wonderful and special in the sight of the Lord.  Don't ever let ANYONE allow you believe differently.  He created you just the way He wanted you, and He doesn't make mistakes.  He can use you just as you are.  This verse also tells us that we are created unto good works.  This means that we are created to do good works that will glorify Him.  Our works do not save us, but they bring glory to the One that created us.  He knew, even before we were born, that we would be the special, individual creatures He created us to be.  Rejoice in the fact that God loves you JUST the way you are, and that He created you to do good for others so that His name might be lifted up and praised!

You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5 each week). The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. We just  want God's Word to be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  They have been recently revised.

Challenge #85 - Sponsored by Crafty Secrets

Welcome back, friends!  We hope that you've had a great week, and we're SO glad to have you join us for another awesome challenge.  This week's word art/scripture file was designed by our former Design Team Member, Diane Noble.  If you'd like to see some of the lovely images Diane has been creating and has for sale, you can visit her brand new blog Diane's Daydream Designs and follow the links.  We praise God for restoring her to full health, and we wish her the best in her new endeavors.  If you would prefer to have the colored version of this scripture file, please let us know and we can email it to you.

This verse, Philippians 4:6-7, is a wonderful piece of scripture.  It tells us that we should be careful (worried about) absolutely nothing. But that in everything, through prayer (asking) and supplication (reverent and humble communication), and with much thanks, we are to make our requests known to God.  How awesome is that?  What a blessing it is to know that the awesome God of this universe would care enough about us to hear our humble prayers, and care about the things that matter to us.  God does NOT want us to worry.  We're not supposed to spend our time and energy being stressed out.  God has told us that we are to give all that worry  and anxiety to Him through prayer.  And, not only does God HEAR our prayers, praises and requests, and care about them; but He (and He alone) can answer them, and take away our worries!  According to His will, and in His perfect timing, He will answer all our prayers in the way that is best for us.  We are TOO BLESSED to be stressed!

Also, please note that you do not need to have a blog in order to play along with us.  We are pleased to have our friends at Splitcoast Stampers, Flikr and other galleries play along with us!  You're all welcome to share, and eligible to win.

Challenge #84 - Anything Goes

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday for another great challenge!  We are so blessed that you're here, and we are grateful to have you play along in our challenges.  It means so much to us to have you fellowship and share your art with us.  Please feel free to share the news about our challenge blog with your friends, and invite others to stop by and share with us as well.

This week's word art/scripture is Proverbs 16:7 and it tells us that when our ways please the Lord, that even our enemies will be at peace with us.  Yes, we will still have enemies because of sin in the world.  There are people who will be jealous of us, find fault in us, and want to cause trouble for us.  But have you ever noticed that most of the drama, troubles or conflicts that arise in our lives occur when we are not pleasing the Lord with our actions?  It's true!  When we confess our sins to God and get really honest with ourselves about our faults, God is there to cause even our enemies to be at peace with us.  This isn't always a popular subject, and we don't want to "step on any toes" here or "point any fingers", but let's just be honest with ourselves.  If you're the kind of person who has a lot of "drama" or conflict in your life, just be willing to take a really good look at yourself and ask yourself if there is anything you can confess to God and get right with him so that He can cause your enemies to be at peace with you, and God WILL resolve that conflict in your life and give you the "peace that passeth all understanding".  This is how God wants us to live our lives, and after all - when we're honest, we all want to have peace (even with our enemies).  We hope this passage will be a blessing to you this week.

You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. Challenge #83 - Anything Goes

We have SO much for which we need to give thanks to God.  This is true in our personal lives, in our country, and even here in the ministry of Word Art Wednesday.  We can't go into detail on the specifics of this particular praise because we don't want to create a problem for the sponsor, or put demands on them to do the same everywhere, but we just HAD to acknowledge that God has once again answered prayer in providing for our challenge blog.  We hit a "hiccup", and prayed about it, and God proved Himself, once again as always, to be the AWESOME God He is by providing for our need allowing us to keep our challenge blog running.  ALL the praise goes to Him, but we really do want you to look at all those amazing sponsors on our sidebar, and know that we are SO grateful for each and every one of them!  And let me also say that some of our 2014 sponsors will knock your socks off.  GOD IS SO GOOD!

Our word art/scripture for this week is Psalm 127:4-5a and it tells us that a man (person's) children are like arrows in his quiver that will defend them in times of trouble.   The more arrows a warrior carried in his quiver (or the more children a person has), just adds even more support to them throughout their lives.  We enjoy our children while they are young, and we take care of them.  In return, when we are old, our children will be there to take care of us when we need their support.  Even those who don't have biological children of their own can be blessed by the "children" or people that God sends into their lives to bless, defend and support them.  Children are a gift from God, and are such a tremendous blessing in our lives.

You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".
